Quick Actions For Water Services Crisis

We get up every day and just pop in the shower and we don’t really think too hard about the services we need.   Until something goes wrong and things fall apart or grind to a complete halt.  My immediate neighbours and I had this happen a couple of weeks ago.  Unbeknowns to each, we all noticed certain loos not flushing well and the corresponding hand basins being very slow to fill and empty.  The lads on either side of me each ordered drain rods but had not tried them yet.   I got fed up and called in a mainteance guy to point me in the right direction.  He was just poking around the rain outlet drain in my front drive when one neighbour popped up and let us know they too had a problem.  I was deleriously happy to hear this as it meant it was a water service problem, not an individual householder one!   I took the role of getting in the water company guys.  They got to us after 4 days.  We’d had the most severe storms and floods in living memory so other folk had more urgent calls on them!
